Privacy Policy
Catch Up for iPhone and iPad · Effective October 2026
Catch Up does not collect, store, or share any personal information. I, the developer, never receive anything you enter into the app.
What the app stores
The categories and words you create or edit, the categories you delete, and your game settings are saved only on your device. Scores from a round are shown when it ends and are not kept. None of this is sent to me or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Motion
If you allow it, Catch Up reads your device's motion sensors during a round in Tilt to progress mode, to tell when you tilt the screen down or up. Motion data is used on the spot and is not saved or sent anywhere. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Motion & Fitness, or use Tap to progress instead.
Generating words with Apple Intelligence
When you tap Generate with AI, the category's title and its current and removed words are given to Apple Intelligence to suggest new words. Depending on your device and software version, this runs either entirely on your device or on Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which processes the request on Apple servers without storing it or making it accessible to Apple. Either way, nothing is sent to me. Words are only generated when you ask for them. Learn more in Apple's Privacy Policy.
What the app doesn't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising.
- No servers of my own; the only network connection is to Apple's Private Cloud Compute, described above.
- No third-party services or SDKs.
Children
Because Catch Up collects no personal information, it collects none from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
